    Hi J.J.
Do you know any good shows coming up? I'm more interested in black powder or older firearms.

    Thanks
    Gary

    Hi J.J.
How did you make out at the show this past weekend? It was good to see you again. Thanks for the comments after looking at my practice pieces. Made me feel good and that I'm am progressing in my engraving. Still have some things to work on and will keep at it. I'm going to retire in Dec. so I'll have more time to do more engraving.

    Regards
    Gary

    Hi JJ
If you coat the metal with a thin coat of mineral oil it will release and clean up better from the pitch. Good luck

Hello J.J. We talked about me getting the 120 degree template during class and I got one and also the disc to rough my blanks. I roughed 2 blanks then finished them by hand and only took me around 20 minutes total for both. I played some tonight with the 120 and so far I really like it. Even done a free hand script of my wife's name and turned out pretty good. Even she was impressed. I do have a question if you don't mind. How often do you use the 120 for scroll work like we were doing at class? Thanks!
