Wow! .... your engraving design is beautiful and really very unique..the patination on the copper makes the texture stand out and the color much more interesting!

nice work!

Alex,

Lovely designs and nicely cut!

We are used to western bright cutters filling the canvas with no need to
undercut and stipple the negative space for contrast. You fill the canvas in a most interesting way, and this inspires me!

best

Alex,

What about posting a picture without the glass cover, so we can get a good look at your fine design?

Hi everyone,
thank you for the encouraging words! The engraved dial is solid silver I believe. Unfortunately I can't take credit for the engraving of the dial :< It was originally a pocket watch cover, that was at some point in it's life turned into a pin, now into a wristwatch dial. So it is possibly an antique....if not older.
The color is achieved by using a steel bluing technique by heat. It takes some practice to know when to stop, but once you get it down, you can make some interesting effects.

I will post some larger pics of the dial once I can make a small name plate.
Cheers!

Alex

Wauw,

Love the dial (maybe even better without the silver leafe) and the rayskin band is perfect for this watch!

Georgeous!
