New member looking to expand my artistic capabilities.
Hello all!
I am a rawhide braider and artist hoping to expand my portfolio in a way that will allow my creative freedom to run free. I have been braiding for about four years and have a decent following on social media and have no problem selling my work. I made a commitment this year to be more artistic however and told customers I no longer was taking orders and instead would only sell what I make. Well needless to say I had no idea that statement would lead me down this rabbit hole. I have a Classic coming from Steve with a ton of accessories and have been doing detailed research and sketching daily for a week now. I plan on starting with brass as its color will accent the rawhide well and look to make end caps, rings and collets that will be used in my designs. I am super excited about what the future holds regarding this beautiful art form and technique and how it will elevate my braiding. Attached are some of my braided pieces that again I plan on adding engraved accents to. Along with one of my first attempts at sketching and shading.
