I used the lyrics to this song as the grass-like texture on this hobo nickel. This is a good example of what I call "cloud" carvings. That is, I look at the outline of the buffalo and see what other compositions can be made using that outline... You can still see where the buffalo was. His back becomes the trees, his head becomes the house, and his legs become the hitch-hiking hobo.
