Re: Titanium Grim Reaper by Rudy Lala
That not only looks good, I'll bet it really adds to the grippiness of the knife.

Yes, I was using an old Dremel shaft, but now I have a 56K rpm air rotary, I do not have a AirGraver yet!

Re: Titanium Grim Reaper by Rudy Lala
man thats cool as hell, no pun intended, especially in titanium, i know how tough that stuff can be. So what are the little green dots inside the handle?

Re: Titanium Grim Reaper by Rudy Lala
I was instantly drawn to this thread by the "Grim Reaper" in the title and then totally blown away.
Incredible work!! How many burs did you burn through? Chris |

Re: Titanium Grim Reaper by Rudy Lala
Awesome! Its hard for me to imagine how you got that much detail in Reaper's face with just a Dremel! Thanks for posting it!

Re: Titanium Grim Reaper by Rudy Lala
how do you think the extra speed of the new tool works on TI ? I have been having problems cutting grade 5 with a carbide bit similar to a diamond flywheel.
I'm running it from an old foredom and if the speed keeps the bits from snapping I'll upgrade to an air tool. |

Re: Titanium Grim Reaper by Rudy Lala
Hi friends,
Thanks for the kind words! PatP, the green dots are "moon glow", a material that store light and glow in the dark, like these used on tactical guns. Chris, I use carbide endmills, that ones my uncle Rick resharp again, and again... someones he make modified points, to specific uses. Me2cyclops, I think 56k rpm is enough to don't vibrate teh handle, and it allows me to keep the details and deep reliefes. I'll try to make some pictures and send you by mail, if you want. Thanks again!
