Good Morning Roland,

I was asking about what size should the tip of the tool/point be?
Usually 1200 or 600 grit i also use.1200 for finish.

the tip of the tool is pyramid form and it is a point with four sides
It is a simple form and tool but efficient

NO SIZE
Just start from square blank or and smaller and sharp to have a pyramid tool with the small Roland Baptiste gold inlay template. It is simple.

I think you're just talking past each other. Roland is saying that there really isn't a 'size' to the point which is because you take the end of it all the way to being a point.

You are, I think asking about how large the rest of the graver should be - the part between the point and the graver blank itself.

Thinking about it, I think I'm with Roland's answer - no size, just grind until you get the point and if you want it smaller somewhere above that point (to make it easier to get down into somewhere) well, make it smaller.
