New Guy!
Alright, I am posting this up for my Father. He is a Jewelry Designer of 20 years and before that he did Free Lance Scrim Shaw and Engraving. He did more Scrim that Engraving and was approached by a company called Dakota Arms in Sturgis SD about doing some engraving for them. He engraved a few guns for them and they ended up going under. He has since been designing different things and this is one of his projects. He can also do any kind of inlaying you could ever dream of. His strong point is Animals with Scrim and Engraving but he is really working hard on Scroll work. Just wanted some feedback about this piece. He carved and casted the Water Buffalo in the middle.
He would really like some feedback on this piece as this is an experimental piece. Oh and also he is interested in getting his work out there as he is trying to get back into Scrim and Engraving and maybe get some work. |

Re: New Guy!
From what I can see, the plaque looks very professionally done. If your dad wants to get his name out there why don't you tell us who he is.

Re: New Guy!
Ha! I guess that would help. His name is Danny Goeden. He is head Design at Coleman Black Hills Gold in Rapid City South Dakota. He fell in love with Engraving guns when he was contracted out by Dakota Arms in Sturgis South Dakota. They had arranged for him to go to Italy to train under the best but the company ended up going belly up so that never happened. That kind of halted his gun engraving due to him being so new at it. He is now looking for some projects to start.
