Greetings!
Hello to all.
Newbe here, wanting to learn this art. I am a flintlock gunmaker and want to do some engraving on brass sideplates, patchboxes, butt plates. Might even try some steel engraving on barrel. Looking forward to member's advice Dick |

You'll get plenty of advice but everything you need has been posted at one time or another.
I started out with a graver ground from a broken drill bit and stuck it in a piece of hardwood. Start with copper. Be ready for a long and rewarding learning curve. John |
