Mr Merde- Introduction
Hi,
Just thought I would introduce myself. Real name is Chris I live in Auckland, New Zealand. An absolute beginner in the art of engraving. So much so that I havent even done any work yet or even purchased the tools . I am a long time admirer of the art of engraving on firearms andf have decided to attempt to learn how they are achieved and possibly emulate it for my own satisfaction. I'm 52 years of age and now have a little more spare time on my hands. I've been building my own firearms and making my own woodwork for a couple of years now and feel it is time I learnt to personalise them at the next stage. I will probably ask a lot of what you think are silly irrelevant questions. I have a number of VHS tapes that I am busy devouring. A mate is going to give me a set of hand engravers he has never used, for me to start practicing with. I am less than a newbie, I'm a wannna be. Chris |
