It's certainly ok with me - that's some mighty fine work!

I particularly like the scrolls with the wildlife embedded in them - very well done both in design and execution.

Beautiful work on a first class firearm. How long have you been engraving and are you still doing so?

Pleasure seeing your work. Thanks for posting it.

If possible, some close up pictures would be great.

Yellowmagic,

You are obviously a highly skilled and experienced gun engraver. Would you mind telling us who you are and some of your background in the trade.

Thanks,

C. Roger Bleile

thank you for your kind comments guys.
Joseph: yes i am still engraving and have been doing so for 18 years.
Peter :I would post some close ups when I work out how to do it without exceeding the permitted memory,i'm not very good with computers and only managed to post these ones with the help of my girlfriend!
Roger :I served my apprenticeship at Purdeys when I was 18 and have worked for various people in the London gun trade including Holland&Holland but mainly for Purdey's now.
Rick :Hahaha...yes I do know Keith,he's a character isn't he? I'll pass on your regards when I next see him.
And finally Wez.....Hahaha...if I think who I think you are then yes I am who you think I am! If so then I would like to say I saw your recent carving and it's very well done!! You've certainly improved a lot over the years and why aren't you posting your pictures??? Give my regards to your Dad and your brother and tell them to keep up the good work.

Altho I do not know you I think its very very fine quality work. Do you ever get confused with that much going into an engraving? Sometimes I really have to study my work to makesure I am doing what i need to in the are it needs to be done in. Also do you ever go crosseyed? I wear magnifying glasses sometimes and stilll go crosseyed and dry eyes from not blinking so I dont screw up a line.

I think any engraver could ansewr that as well. I am thinking it is just me but looking at the work on this site it may not be.

Once again awesome work and great details and the wildlifes are awesome as well!!!!!

Hello and welcome, very nice work and would like to see more. You can post pictures here of any size and Steves program will auto resize them, the same with making an album here. Steve has made it so that even a computer retard like me can use this site.
