Treasured Chest Knife (partial nude)
Here is a fun knife I finished a few weeks ago. It was actually a difficult knife to design on, due to the handle inlays,as well as the overall shape of the knife, being unusual. But, once we decided to use the treasure map to fill in the odd areas in the center, it all fell into place. Also been playing around with photoshop, but I need to get a better lighting system for taking my pics though, just have not had the time lately to attend to that. Anyway, thanks for having a look. -Brian

Re: Treasured Chest Knife (partial nude)
Beautiful work Brian. Great use of different colored gold.
I was wondering ... that map wouldn't happen to lead to a gentelman's club in St. Martin? If I remember right, those gold coins in the treasure chest were filled with milk chocolate and Amstel was just over a buck. That's certainly a nice touch with the scope ... great symbolism. Chris |

Beautiful, quick question, what is the red material in the knife scales?

Re: Treasured Chest Knife (partial nude)
Jeff, the colors in the treasure chest are green and pink gold, as is the palm leaves, knife handle and the broach/choker.
Thanks all for the good reviews, -Brian

Re: Treasured Chest Knife (partial nude)
Hi Brian,
That is pretty green and pink for gold. Could you tell where you get it or what the ingredients are to alloy this gold? Thanks, Daniel |

Re: Treasured Chest Knife (partial nude)
Mark, emailed me this link to the knife, he did some real macro shots of it. You can see how all the dots and detail is done. The most magnified pics are at the bottom of the page.
