Howdy
I'm a pistolsmith specializing in the 1911 autopistol. I've always admired engraved firearms and one day may give it a try. For now, I'll just admire.

Re: Howdy
Hi John!
Always good to have a gunsmith around who has at least a little understanding of engraving. JJ - that is the law but I understand it's not really enforced. But I also understand that the crime rate in Kennasaw is significantly lower than another, otherwise very similar Atlanta suburb. |

Re: Howdy
Hello Folks,
New member. Retired from The Bureau of Engraving and Printing in 2003. Now that engraving is not my profession, after a (7) year rest, thought I would do some hobby engraving. My main interest and focus right know is custom knives. So I'll scratch on some blades for a while. |

Re: Howdy
Hi Hareden,
Welcome ... it is exciting to have someone from the BPE here on this forum. I'm a huge fan of that intaglio engraving style used throughout American history as I hope to learn enough to use the techniques for illustration. I just received a print from the American Numismatic Association of a BPE print made in 1994 from a plate engraved in 1905 .... it is absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to have it framed. All the best, Chris |
