Hi everyone.
I'm an artisan jeweller, now into cabbing and trying to teach myself faceting. Have toyed with the idea of engraving in the past. Just so many things to try in life. Came here and OH MY!!! Blown away. You guys are GOOD.
Not sure if I'll be able to contribute but I can see I have a LOT of reading to do and Kudos to the winners of your contest. Brilliant tutorials. |

Re: Hi everyone.
Hi Daniel,
You must be the official welcoming committee. I'm running to hide after seeing your wonderful work. I'll try and find some old photos, I have a love to hate relationship with my camera. My style has been more 'raw' in the past with a few after 5 items. Mainly commissioned items for a couple of years as opposed to just going with the flow of my desires. But textural, love texture. Oh, and pretty much self taught, certainly the setting side of things. Have to dash and thank you sooo much for saying hi. |

Re: Hi everyone.
Hi Mehoose,
Yes, I have been hired by Steve Himselfe to greet new people onto the forum. Gives me free acces to his Corvette and workshop everytime I am around. Pitty I am in Holland and he is in America though. But seriously. Certainly not the welcoming commity. I just don't like people to be ignored coming to this forum for the first time. And I have been busy so I took some time to greet all new ones yesterday. You being a jeweler makes it easyier for me being one also. Please do show your work. It is by no means ment as a measurement to where I am at. The school I went to mearly thaught me theoretic stuff. You have to do it all by yourselfe anyways. Good tutors might help though. Daniel. |

Re: Hi everyone.
Well thank you for welcoming me anywho, even if you only get to cyber drive.
There's no engraved items tho. Wouldn't that be sorta going against the theme of the forum? Dang, don't want to be booted out from the get go. |

Hi Mehoose! (Carrie Nunes here from GO.) I just got signed up on this forum too and figured I would see some familiar names. I am aching for an air graver and have been reading and soaking up info here. Maybe we will learn together.

Re: Hi everyone.
Heyas Carrie,
This is soo much better being here than doing Learning! LOL, at the mo I have only an onglette but I'm trying to soak it all up. Hopefully in the New year I'll be able to purchase a few items to really give it a good go. So many wonderful creations here, talent plus. I'm wondering where I'm heading with everything new, hopefully it might all come together for the bigger picture in the end? Time will tell. |
