classes in Sydney or melbourne Australia-any?
Woot- have the air palm on its way Getting everything set up will take a bit of effort, bt can't wait. Would love to know of any short courses to get started with though, to speed things p a bit. Studied hand (hand pushed) engraving at tafe for 1 year, but it was a while ago, and this tool is a lot different.
Can travel for short course ( a week or so) , but would prefer something closer than Texas if possible ! Also planning to learn to set with it, so setting courses good too. thanks,Victoria |

Welcome to the Engraving Forum. Excellent choice of an airgraver there.I dont know about the courses to get started with in your part of the woods, but the link below could help some, with the using airgraver ; http://www.airgraver.com/PalmControl.htm http://www.engravingforum.com/showthread.php?t=2904 If you know hand/palm push engraving then palm control will be easy to use. You get instructions with it simply follow them you cant go wrong.Anything else you wish to know ,you just have to ask on the Forum or Mr.Steve Lindsay. There is ample advise and support here. All the best SE

Looks as though you are a touch too late. Brian Marshall in Stockton, Ca has a 3 day course this weekend. Knowledgeable instructor with all the tools to try.
There may be a course either later in the year or early next year in Qld. Contact TyG through the members list. Roger B2 |

Ahh, Chris, is it possible to find a forum you're not prolific on? Good thing I like you :-)
Ok, so status update- palm air, check, gravers,.,umm, some..will gradually add more , compressor and all it oil and water filter bits, check, time to play with toys.., very scarce, but a bit here and there. Currently working on my dining table, whilst waiting for bench to arrive. Am happy to give friendly people in sydney a test drive if interested, but of course it will be easier when im properly set up. |
