Default Newbie..

Hello everyone, I just registered on this forum and looking forward to picking up some pointers etc on hand engraving metal.
From Ab. Canada.
I've been working with leather for 40 years or so.. Building custom saddles for almost 30 of those years and making custom hand made motorcycle seats.
I want to get into metal engraving because of one of my best friends that recently passed away.. He used to tell me all the time that with my skills I should get into metal engraving.. Well in his memory I've decided to make the leap.
I will be engraving mostly motorcycle parts and accessories.
So any pointers etc would be greatly appreciated.
Hats off to many of these members on this forum on your incredible work.

Thanks
Chaps

Hi Chaps, Welcome! I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Super though you're taking up engraving in his memory. I bet he will be looking over your shoulder.
