Buffalo nickel
Was wanting some of you guys criticism. This is 1st coin I have ever engraved and have only touched an engraver for the first time in one of Ray Cover’s classes about 6 months ago. I struggled with some cuts and heel drag in certain spots, tried to make graver smaller before sharpening with Lindsay template which seemed to help. Top front tooth is an inlay with 24K gold, which went in easily considering coin is soft also. If anyone has any info or help it would be appreciated. Thanks for looking and #2 should be better considering what I’ve learned on this one.

Re: Buffalo nickel
Nic dimensionality. The skull seems to pop off the page.. if I’d say anything, and I’m reaching a bit, but the feathers seem to float a bit, they could be integrated into the design a bit.

Re: Buffalo nickel
Thanks for that, it was definitely something I noticed once I cut outline of skull and separated feathers. Appreciate your advice.
