Co2 bottle for Airgraver???

Does anyone know if the Airgraver can be used (portable) with a co2 bottle? I have one which was given to me. Also, if so... any idea where to get the proper fittings to convert it to compressed air usage?

Hi Dave.
That should not be too much of a problem.
I have a european fire extinguish tank filled with co2 and Steve's Co2 regulaters fittet right onto it.
So even if it would not fit directely there should be some adapters to make it fit.

Dave, Steve has a regulator that fits the bottle and no extra fittings are needed. You can fill those at most sports stores or you can get a CO2 tank (WITH A DIP STICK) for a fill station on your premiss. I have one set up and would be willing to give you the low down.

Im not sure you can get enough volume of compressed air in that bottle to last very long.

I wouldnt use it with CO2 in an indoor confined sealed area, without some air circulation.
This is very unlikely, as long as you have reasonable amount of air circulation.
If you buy your gas at the local welder supply, they have copies of osha safety info.
The Lindsay uses a very tiny amount of air. Just don't let an industrial large bottle spring a leak in your car with the windows rolled up.

Thanks Barry. Also, don't leave full co2 bottles in a hot car sitting in the sun. Read the warning on the bottles. Here is a picture of the co2 foot pedal setup.The PalmControl gets around 8 hours on a 20oz bottom and this foot control setup gets around 5 hours. The 20oz bottles can be refilled at a local sporting goods store that has paintball gun equipment. The cost to refill is around $3 to $4. A portable air bubble will work as well since the tool uses such low volume to run.

There' s also the 3000 to 4500 psi tanks that run on compressed air...
I have one but never have had it filled at a dive shop...

I've got the setup Steve showed in the picture (well, not that one but one just like it).

Works great!

It's nicely portable and at my bench I built a 'monster cupholder' out of a couple of PVC fittings - a 4" cap plus a 3 - 4" adapter press fit into the top of the cap to make it taller (I did have to scrape a mold line out of the adapter to let the tank fit).
