hi
I hate these introduction things but running a forums myself I know how important they are so here it goes.
I am just getting into scrimshaw and am desperate for information. I have happily married for 19 years and have 2 children and 1 grand child. I have browsed this forum for several days and already learned a lot. I hope to get good enough to give as well as get eventually. |

Re: hi
Hello. Intros are always hard; no worries. The expression of art is also always a good thing so how or what can we do to help you get at it. I have done a few scirms and I carve and engrave so if you need an answer or two ask away and I hope I lead you on the right path. Chickenscratcher

Re: hi
Welcome to the forum.
I'm also fairly new to the forum. These people are really great and willing to share a wealth of information with you. There is just so very much to learn about this beautiful craft, the glossary is very helpful. I've just recently completed 5 days of engraving classes with JJ Roberts in Manassas, VA. He is the best! I don't know if I'll ever become a skilled engraver, with JJ's encouragement I will keep on practicing. If you are anywhere near to Chantilly, VA, you should stop by to visit JJ @ his booth at this show next weekend. Renee Last edited by Renee; 07-26-2010 at 11:50 PM. Reason: spelling correction |
