Hello all, just found this forum and I am a wannabe engraver
Made my own chisels and hammers and am carving hobo nickels. I will practice through the winter and hope for a few keepers. I was the top model maker at the Smithsonian when I retired so I know tools. I would love to trust myself to engrave some knives and guns, prehaps someday. Meanwhile I will soak up all the knowledge I can. |

Hi Runes,
As a top model maker at the Smithsonian you must have some work to show ![]() As for hobo nickles, if you make them, show them too! We like to see others stuff ![]() As a retired person, I would treat myself to a hammer and chisle combined into one. Like the Classic or Palm Control airgraver. You would revive the need to make grand new stuff. Hope to see your work, Daniel |
