Things I have come to believe
Things I have come to believe:
A mans opinion. 1 There is a power that no one can comprehend 2 That power is a friend of those Artists who accept submission by following the 10 commandments 3 That power will help you in times of stress and in moments when your life is in danger. 4 Youth will never come to the same conclusions as educated old folks. 5 Old folks still dream of vivid sex even though the body can not. 6 Never let others direct your pursuit of art, for only you alone can follow the voices of creativity. 7 Art and war are the great educators of the common born man. 8 Daily meditation and prayer are good for the body and mind. 9 Exercise and moderation are more beneficial than I thought 45 years ago 10 Honesty and confession are good for your soul. 11 If my debts are clear and I always have 10 dollars in my pocket I am a rich and fortunate man. 12 Mankind today, has more insane methods of destroying himself than even Hitler could have imagined. Thank you for reading, please add your own thoughts to this list. Have a great day Joseph engraver

Re: Things I have come to believe
Joseph,
Very insightful points. In your book you advise something to the effect of "seek God in the morning if you want him with you through the day." I took your advice and say a brief prayer every morning upon rising. Thanks, Roger

I can't quote chapter and verse, but the Book says "acknowledge Him in all thy ways and He will direct thy paths." Mike

Re: Things I have come to believe
Thanks Rodger
Here is the entire poem which has been a great help to me I do not know who the author is The Secret I met God in the morning, when the day was at its best. All day the Presence lingered, All day long He stayed with me. And we sailed in perfect calmness over a very troubled sea. Other ships were torn and battered, other ships were sore distressed. But the winds that seemed to drive them, Brought to us a peace and rest. Then I thought of other mornings, with a keen remorse of mind, When I to had loosed the moorings, With the Presence left behind. So, I think I know the secret, learned from many a troubled way. You must seek Him in the morning. If you want Him through the day.
