Default The Show Look

Here is my show look. I continue to hammer chisel my way to Master Engraver. I engraved a set of spurs recently, and they are now on the main Square in Jackson Hole Wyoming, awaiting for someone to come along and fall in love with them. I have recently picked up a job for a Gentleman that is willing to work with my limited knowledge, in hopes for helping me to engrave to greatness. He has a fine eye for what a collectors piece requires and he critiques my work on a constant basis. I feel blessed to have the amount of help I have received along the way. I have learned that criticism is the stone in which to leap to greatness.

On a side note, Thank you Steve for the birthday wishes! I would not be where I am today, with my engraving, if it were not for the kindness of this forum. One scratch at a time and I will make it. As always, I am honest with everyone where my engraving is and how far I must go. I am continually learning to breath with the engraver and follow the flow of the piece I am working on.

Thank you to every one on the forum!

Default Re: The Show Look

Happy Birthday again and thanks for the nice comments.
Engraving is looking good. Early on I tried for a short time hammer/chisel. It was tough going for me and I think it because I was so use to power.

Thanks again Turtle for the nice post.
Steve
