Very nice work as always JR and Thank You for sharing your work with us. Can you tell me if any annealing was needed on the new vaquero? Is this stainless steel? Thanks..... JohnR

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes it is stainless steel. The loading gate is very hard, but the tungston piston and cardide cuts just about anything. Hopefully, I will get going on the cylinder and barrel this comming week. The Ruger is a fun project and well made pistol._JR

JRon...very nice!!! What Geometry do you use on these? Face angle a 55 degree? with a 105 or 116 V?

I use the Lindsay universal with a 60 degree face. I have found that using a slower speed
also helps. I think the stainless generates heat as it is being engraved. Carbide solves this problem._JR |
