this is my 1985 buick regal that i have had some engraving on in lowriding we often name our cars to set us aside from the rest since are choics are limited to old school american cars 60s impalas 80s g bodys 80 90s caddys we only have a good 10 - 15 differnt model cars to choose from and put our own twist on it i named my car marilyn and incorperated it into the engraving that i had done since i am very attracted to it but its very pricey i would like to learn to do it myself. any help would be apperciated.

WOW, those pictures are crazy. If you want to learn, this is the right place. Just read, read, read then buy some simple equipment and dive in. There are plenty of really nice people here who will help you as much as you want. Go for it.

Hi Todd,

You Welcome !

Yes,another suggestion is a classic or Nitro G20 air graver ,with a foot control,and then later upgrade to a palm control.

If you specifically need a palm control then you have to get it , I reckon .Eventually ,as you know,tools do pay back for themselves

Check out the different airgravers :

All the best.

I agree that you shouldn't just drop a bunch of cash on tools and then decide that you really don't like engraving. Go back to the Home Page and look in the top, left corner of the screen and you will see a button labeled "Inexpensive way to give it a try". Click on that link and it will take you to a bunch of information that tells you how to get started without spending a lot on money. Once you figure out if you want to continue, you can spend more money on better tools.

Hi Todd,

Both the classic and the Nitro G20 handpieces only are - $995 each

You also need the ;
Foot Control, idle adjust and double regulators- $249

OR;

Foot control, idle adjust without regulators -$179

http://www.airgraver.com/Hand_Engrav...s_Overview.htm

The best is to give Steve L a call for prices and additional advise on purchases on -
Phone: 308-236-7885 .

Hi Todd,

You need a sharpening system,if you dont have one , with templates and graver blanks.
