Ran into this on FB.. sure looks the part. Anyone know the work? Reckon its real?

Chris it's obviously real, it's the result of using large doses of LSD. It's probably an old friend of mine who left in a hurry, see you soon old buddy.

It is possible the original carved skull may have been a carved original but the photograph you posted is a resin cast reproduction, see "Kapala Skull" on Google images and you will find this very skull produced by Props Port.

Skull carving is very real and many, many have been done in similar fashion for rituals as well as trophies.

I was wondering about that, the join of the teeth to the skull as well as the spaces between loooked.. wierd..

Fake.Skulls are thinner than the levels of carving present on the workpiece.
