Hi Ron, looks great! To make it better? How about putting a ball at the end of the spirals, instead of just the plain end of the wire?

take care,

Tom

Holy COW!! You've outdone your last Colt by a mile Ron. That must be a mile more in gold too.

Ron

Looking at those photos I can't shake the feeling that the gold is floating on the surface of the gun like oil on water - it's got an etheral beauty to it that looks like you could shift the pattern by blowing on it.

I think it's a combination of the overall finish on the gun and the very flowing pattern you used. It's nearly mesmerizing. Once again I see the future owner spending many, many happy hours just gazing upon his treasure.

I think picture #3 shows the effect the best.

Ron,

A couple of closer photos of the barrel would be great.

Sorry I won't be up that way. Please give my regards and respect to David ... I will see him in Florida as I've got to get Kirby's knife and some of Steve Cale's stuff done for next week. Say hello to the Elmira guys .... I miss those old con artists. Don't forget to tell them that that 50/90 Shiloh inflicts damage/pain on BOTH ends. I've got a few 50-100-712 loads which I gotta get a football shoulder pad before I shoot them.

Thanks Ron,

Chris

Absolutely beautiful work Ron! I wish I could have stopped by when I was at the Harrisburg Show, but time just did not permit. Maybe next time I'm down there it will work out so that I could stop by, if the offer still stands that is! Anyway, keep up the great work and keep the pic's comming! Thanks for showing!
Best Regards,
Dan Grubaugh

Hey Ron
Looks great and cant wait to get a look close up! Steve has finally convinced me to join in here by continued tempting, like sending me threads to your pictures. By the way my camera idea was a bust and I sent it back. Looking forward to the next outing, unfortuneately it has been crazy at the shop and little time to practice!!! Gotta find a way!!!????

Ron,
The reason I missed seeing you at the York show is because you would think that I was having one in Campbelltown too! 3-4-5 deep at times in the shop all day Saturday (7Hours)!!
The scopes fine the camera didn't work, the frame refresh rate of the camera was too slow and would not allow REALTIME viewing while working. Spoke to Steve about his set-up a little, and I guess I'll have to back up and regroup. My only free time is Saturday nights and Sunday's! Looking forward to gettin back to it when we can.

Ron your gold inlay work still amazes me. Would you please make me one of your undercutting type tools? I am getting back into gold inlays and am having a terrible time undercutting.punching and you are one of the best gold inlayers I have ever seen. I will gladly pay you for one tool. Thank you very much.

Best Wishes, Tim
