Default JJ Roberts Engraving School

I had the pleasure of attending JJ Roberts Engraving School this weekend. I am a rank beginner and went to him for a general how to get started, some instruction on hammer and chisel, and I wanted to play with Lindsays toys, of which JJ has a complete set. JJ sat me down and showed me some sharpening, layout of scrolls, design transfer, shading, finishing, bluing, shop set up, air graver set up and operation, and a whole lot of background information. I cannot believe his portraits. JJ,thanks for everything. I am saving my pennies for the PC.

Sounds like you got some good advice into this great art field we call engraving. Once you get your hands on a pc,it is something you can.t get your mind off of. I remember when I got to see and use my first one. I could not believe what that little tool could do. Even when I pick it up today, I still get that same feeling. Jack
