CO2 Filling Info

I Love my PC, so I went to get some paint ball tanks at Walmart, 24oz@$29.00...
Got 2 and took them to a paintball shop... WOW $5.00 each... So I went to our local welding shop and ask John at Belews Welding about how to fill these.
John was a paintball player and filled tanks before...No more...
I bought a filling station from him for $50.00 and he let me use a tank about 2.5ft tall, I think he said it was 14cuft. This one has to be turned upside down to fill your tanks... CoKe Pepsi use the CO2 air to fizz the coke not liquid that we use...
He let me borrow the tank and it will only be $14.00 to refill the 14cuft tank...
I have refilled my 24oz tanks 2 times each and can alot more times...
The large 5ft CO2 tanks like the big Welding 5' tanks have a tube to the bottom and doesn't need to be turned upside down for filling the paintball tanks... and they give off Liquid because of a siphien tube at the bottem to bring up liquid ... The 14 cuft tank standing upright gives off gas and can be used with the PC.
I like the dive tank and I have 2 that I'll hookup next...

Excellent info, thank you. I like the thought of a supply that doesn't trigger an air compressor every 3 minutes. I'm one of those guys that has a NOISY compressor. It startles me. I start to think "The compressor will kick any moment now..." and I don't focus on my work.

I noticed something interesting at Lowes 3 days ago... they had a rack FULL of at least 2 different sizes of CO2 cylinders, which come pre-filled. These do look like paintball cylinders. In fact, I'm quite sure they're the same. So Lowe's is one more place to get them, and as I mentioned, they are precharged. They can be refilled, of course, when you empty them.

I was wondering about the CO2 set-up. Since a CO2 fire ext is the fastest way ever to cool down a case of beer, or pop, does the PC feel cool when using this?

Gail, I haven't had any change in my airgraver now the regulator and the bottles get sweaty.

you may want to consider the ambient temperature

we dont use co2 in air rifles here in co because when the tanks drop to 50 degrees you cant shoot as the pressure drops way off

thats also why pcp air rifles run on air not co2

just a thought - but sweaty tanks generally indicate something is not happy or leaking or you spilt beer on the tanks

I think that it is the Humidity and dew point, I have a 20 lb CO2 tank and have used is some here at 6035 ft and in Fla the thank sweated in Fla but not in Colo.
