Re: The new tools are up!
Wow Steve, really pretty vises and they appears to be a vast improvement over what else is available. I especially like the ability to lock the tilt and wondered if that feature was going to be incorporated. I am wondering, though, how tall the vises are and how much linear movement there is on yours? On the one from Steve Shepard, does the round plate at the bottom rotate or is it stationary?

Re: The new tools are up!
Hi Brian and Jon,
Both vises have an eight inch height. Linear movement of the Glidelock is 2.5. Yes, the round plate on the Bullseye rotates. The top on this prototype Bullseye is just a Pepe top with the positioning lock arrangement under it. The Bullseye tops will be custom machined with tighter tolerances and nicer than the Pepe top. Steve, I like what you've done with your web site. The links and overall structure seem a lot cleaner and easier to navigate.
Kudos as well on those beautiful vises! And I think the Artisan is an outstanding idea. It will fill a void at the lower end, price-wise, for many who want to get started.
