Default Carl Bleile sharpening SCULPTING & RELIEF TOOLS with Templates

Set up grinding discs or stones as usual ½ inch between cutting surface and template rest or table.

Using hole marked B insert tool holder and remove excess metal from top of tool

Change to hole A and grind both sides of tool to obtain desired width

Next grind or stone face of tool

then grind or stone heel of tool

Last radius bottom (cutting) corners of tool to make them stronger and to keep them from digging in.

Hi Carl
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us newbies. Sharpening with Steve's and your templates makes sharpening a breeze. With the excellent sharp pictures and your lectures even a dummy can sharpen a graver.
Regards
Neels

Thanks,
Being a Retired Marine, I need pictures, be it for proof or just plain entertainment. Comic book simple always works the best!
