New building pictures
We have been moving into the new building. It will be nice to have more room to work.
Deer were in the front yard yesterday eating the new grass under the snow.

Re: New building pictures
Thats really nice steve, but having that much room will only make you buy more stuff to fill it up. That couch looks really comfortable too. I'm glad i don't have one of those, I'd never get anything done

Steve, is that piece of round bar stock at the bottom of the window the swivel mount attachment for the new 50 BMG venison emulsification system?

Re: New building pictures
Chris, you're right. How did you guess?
The vette in the kitchen is temporary while the machines are being moved in. I am thinking about a pool table should be set there after the vette is rolled out. I need to practice my pool game if I'm going to beat Paul Hamler in a game. Ron, when the upstairs room is ready, okay on lessons. How about this? Engraving lessons are free if you can beat me at a game of pool. That won't take much; just ask Paul! Hey Sam, that couch is an important tool in the shop.

Looks absolutely FANTASTIC Steve. You have got some incredible machinery.
If you need someone to practice your pool game with....I volunteer. From what I hear Mr. Hamler is quite accomplished....but he isn't getting any younger Neither am I and my best pool has probably been played long ago....but I like to try! Peter |

Enjoy the space! Hanne |

Great shop and classroom... So when does class start? However, with "Big Blue" in the classroom, you might have some attention issues with the students Regards, Archie |

Re: New building pictures
Hello Steve, Amazing space you have there for a workshop/class room! One thing I do not understand though. For engraving, all you need is something like this corner seen in the picture above. What is all the big machinery for? We have a thread going on the BladeForums on workshop pictures, would be great if you post pictures of your new workspace for everyone to feel the "WOW" kind of feeling I got when seeing this thread... All the best, David Darom (ddd) |

Re: New building pictures
Thanks mrthe and pedroito. The facilites won't be complete until the pool table is finished. I picked up an old cool one but it is another project. I have it apart to refinish the wood.
Here is a thread with photos of the old shop that had less room to work. http://www.engravingforum.com/showthread.php?t=336 _____

Re: New building pictures
Awsome workshop Steve. It looks way too clean though.
All those years of playing in pool leagues and I am too far away from you to get free lessons. Knowing my luck, you are probably a hustler and I would end up paying for lessons. Beautiful car. I think I may be having pangs of jealousy. Ian |

Mrthe, I have your chevy hiding next to the garage door for a quick escape for you when you visit. Here are pics of how the upstairs is coming. Found the old pool table on craigslist in Omaha and I refinished it. While working on it I discover it is still made. http://www.porterandsons.com/table_la_piedra.html

Re: New building pictures
Tim Wells was going to get the car but since valve rocker came loose when he was here driving it, he therefore doesn't get it. So it must be yours. Hey, maybe we can play a pool game and see if you win the car.

Re: New building pictures
I figured if the little blue vette couldn't hold itself together it would never make the trip back home, so I told Steve to just let someone else get the chance to rook him out of it. Perhaps in a friendly (or not) game of 8 ball...
Watch the side pipe getting out of it; been there, done that, got the scar to prove it..

Hi Tim, You should have not said about the side exhaust pipes, those are the special fittings to deter and stop people taking the car away. If they take it away they hesitate to come out till the police come ! The workshop is really very nice, it really an asset to have and we will see great tools made there. The pool table and gym are good too.I can play snooker don't know about pool.... Where the Bar, the Milkshake and ice cream counters ? I bet you you forgot to do them . God Bless the new Workshop. A praise worthy achievement for Steve L SE
