Default Thanks for letting me in

Hello everyone, thanks for letting me become a part of a great community.

A little about me.....I'm a 41 year old father of 3 in a tiny town of under 500 people in northeast Alberta, Canada. I have a graphic art degree that I've all but ignored the last 15 years. Now that the kids are growing I'm finding I have more time to explore different ideas.

I started coin cutting a couple years ago, that progressed to include wire weaving with the cut coins, and lately has included repoussè and sculpting, and combining them all into 3D sculptures.

I just got a GRS ball vise last week, and my Lindsay coin carving kit came in a few days ago, my scope should be here any day so I'm ready to go and thirsty for knowledge in this fascinating art. I'm starting with push gravers but plan to expand to pneumatic gravers as my wife allows .

Anyways, thanks again for letting me in, I look forward to learning as much as I can and chatting with all of you.

Dwayne, welcome. It would be nice if you could post a few photos of your work. Steve's airgraver is like push engraving on steroids and I highly recommend it when you can step up. Meanwhile, sounds like you are well on the road to the rest of your life!
