First scrim
Just wanted to show you all my first try at scrimshaw. It was fun to do especially with some help from Katherine Plumer and her great tutors!
It is a sparrow hawk, and sizewise he will fit under a dime. It was made to be inlaid into a small J frame pistol grip, and I will post picture of the completed project soon. Thank you for looking, and any critiques are welcomed. Gail

Looks great,particularly for a first.My only suggestion would be outlining the piece a bit more so it stands out a bit better.Heres one by Katherine showing what I mean.http://www.engravingforum.com/showth...ight=scrimshaw
