steel hubs from US NAVAL ACADEMY Class Crests
I found this awesome engraving site researching some steel hubs from US Naval Academy. What I have are 8 hubs featuring Annapolis Class Crests and were designed each year by a student(s). Probably engraved by the main company that made the rings.
Anyway I got impatient and put them on auction. You can view them there and they close on Monday. ebay user name 'jmscarlett' ...I read the policy and if this type of post is a violation...my bad. I have seen some incredible engravings here and am reminded of watching this guy engrave trophies and stuff back in about 1958. He would do it in his shop and you could watch him throught his front window and I had to stand on my bike pedals to see good. He used a small tool and rocked it side to side as he pushed it forward. |
