Default Can you engrave a 3 Dimensional shapes

This might be a totally stupid question to ask but I was curious if one can use a Lindsay palm control graver to grave a 3 dimensional shape? For example could you engrave a skull or animal in 3 dimensional relief or does it not work very well to try to engrave/cut out material like that?

Thanks,

obviously you posted your question before looking around the site. Click on "All Albums" at the upper left hand corner of your screen and browse thru them.

I've seen the all albums before. That's not what I'm referring to. My question isn't can you engrave on 3-dimensional objects. That I already know to be true. What I'm curious of is can you actually carve out a 3 dimensional object. Part of me thinks this would be too much material to remove but maybe it's possible.

Thanks,
Try and see some of Mr.T Sterlings work.

Also try and run a search on his work in progress threads as Mr.KDandger advised earlier. They will be very useful.

Yes, but most that is done is in the form of relief carving. Phil Coggan did a relief of a leopard a while back that is an excellent example of relief carving.
