Hi folks! Another one lured in
Hi all!
Yet another new member lured in. Been meaning to get over here anyway but the main site is blocked at my work by the Firewall of Idiocy. Had a heck of a time registering - my normal alias and just about every variant I could think of showed as already registered. Finally got in on my initials. I'm KCSteve most places (a handle chosen for the complicated reasons of my being named Steve and living in KC, MO). Got started in engraving just after BLADE last year - my ever-indulgent wife bought me a complete setup fully aware of my total lack of knowledge in the area. Been having great fun. Need to poke around and see what great stuff I can pick up here. |

I know you are. I keep thinking of taking a trip over for a visit one of these days. Daniel That might not be the best gift she's gotten me. There are reasons she's known as 'the ever-indulgent wife' Point out to your wife that you'll have to do a lot of practice, which will involve making things like bracelets, rings, pendants, and other such items. |

Ah, there was a catch!
Well, I wil do the same when I start working with it. I'm very lucky that she doesn't like big stone's. Setting small one's is my favorite. Love your Hair pin by the way. That's the first down payment? Greeting's, Daniel |

Hi Zernike! :seeya:
It's good to have both forums. Sure, most people seem to be on both but there's a different perspective / feel to each. Don't think it's the equipment - all of us seem like we'd be more than happy to have all available systems. Maybe it's the background colors - this one's dark, that one's light. Eh. They're both friendly and informative places. Nice to be at a party where you can be in more than one 'room' at a time, isn't it? |
