Default photo test of banknote dog in progress

While engraving a dog about the size of a dime thought I would try a new way of posting it. Ive had problems in the past getting photes to load, I think they were to big and dont know the first thing about PCs. Tried lowering cam. to 640x480 and cropped it.

The photo looks good to me, the engraving even more .

Carl, I'd suggest you try a program called Picasa for you photo editing. It is free and should be quite intuitive to use. Even my dad who knows little about PCs and and about 10 words in English uses it with no problems .

Carl,
The picture looks great, and the work is awesome as usual.
I use a web site that is called Photobucket. It is free and you can store photographs there to use on forums. You can also edit the photos after you upload to their site. Therefore you can leave the camera resolution on high, for a better image and resize the photo to 640 X 480 as you upload. I normally crop and edit the lighting before I upload to Photobucket.
Don't know if this is any help to you, but when you have time, try it.

You will have to register, but everything is free.

I'm using Photobucket just like Carl W. I can set you up the next time I'm at your place. I haven't tried the Picassa but Vilts is an IT guru so we should give it a try.

I usually go into Adobe Photoshop and do all the cropping and touch up and then resize to 5x7. This size seems to respond well to internet use.

Carl .... I'll be out there in a couple of weeks and I'll bring all the software you'll ever need or use.

One of the benefits of being an admin in my previous life is never having to pay for software the company already owns.

Anyway ... the issue is not with your photography or computer abilities ... Steve needs to bump up the upload size limit. It sucks to look up an old thread and find that the photos are gone because the person that uploaded them needed to delete them and make room for new ones.
