Diamond hart surgery
Hi all,
She lost her hart and I made her a new one. The ring had a cavety where the hart should go. With thermolock I made the form, holowed it a bit and cast it in sand. Took a hand full of 0.01ct diamonds and made few lines were inbetween the stones should go. Drilling, some burring and correcting and with a very fine flat (made from a dull burr) cut away the material to create prongs. Getting the hart in the ring and setting the stone's. So much fun! |

Re: Diamond hart surgery
What beautiful work, Daniel. You are just the 'cat's meow' when it comes to stone setting, and doing just fine in the engraving department too!
I am sure the lady is more than happy. Thanks for sharing. gail

Hi Chris,
Quote:
Noud, Thanks, means a lot coming from you. The photo's through the microscope are not my faforite one's. Too much hassel to get my camera adapters on the scope and haven't been able to get really nice pictures. The middel one of this series was taken with the camera in front of an eyepiece. But as you can see, not really good. Greetings, Daniel |
