another newbie
been doing gunsmithing now for 10 years bluing rifles, shotguns, trigger work & repairs. I' ve made 12 thumbhole stocks for keepsakes for the family & friends, been tinking with engraving with dential handpieces along with h&c could use help with drawing animals & scrolls. I've read books watched dvd practice drawing just need pictures of engraved things so I can practice not steal someones work thanks scrupples

Welcome to the forum!
Ron Smith's books "Scroll Design" and "Advanced Scroll Design" are the bibles of scrolls. Not sure on what are the best references for animals but I do know that books on pen & ink drawing are what you want to work with - like with engraving in pen & ink you either have a line or you don't. No smudging / smearing / blending allowed. |
