Re: French Gray Mauser
Hello Mike,
I understand French Gray to be partial removal of the gun blue to highlight the engraving. Search " French Gray", read the previous posts on the subject. There are a number of different products available to use. I used fingernail polish to mask off the areas which I didn't want to remove the gun blue. Naval Jelly is an affective gun blue remover with baking soda in water to neutralize it. This item has been Inked and sealed with lacquer. It is a delicate time consuming process. The results make it worthwhile. The internet is a wonderful resource. Research any subject, obtain the information and make it your own. Take Care, Stephen |
