Default New Here

Hi Y'all,
Just thought I would introduce myself.
My name is Roger and I have recently retired to a small farm in central Kentucky.
I'm just in the investigation stages of engraving, but so far I like what I see.

One of my hobbies doing metal fabrication on my English Wheel.
Here is some of the stuff I'm working on:

This winter I want to get started learning some engraving. Eventually I would like to do some gun engraving for fun.
I'm not the most talented person in the world, but I am blessed with unlimited patience and I have alot of time on my hands.

RogerZZ,

What is your objective with engraving? Guns, knives, jewelry, musical instruments, motorcycles, or the restoration of car parts?

Each one of those segments of the engraving trade requires different approaches to the work though there is a lot of overlap.

I live in Northern Kentucky and might be able to help if you want to learn something within my area of skill.

Browse through the engraving glossary to learn more about the tools, designs, and aspects of the craft. Just click the link under my signature.

That's a beautiful job on the AC

Hi Roger,

Her name is "Annie "and is also an African grey parrot.
She is a member of our family very loving and a lively bird but very possessive though.
Its great to know your wife is an avian vet,I can get a few tips now and then if it is okay with you ?
Nice to make your acquaintances.
