Default Ardent enthusiast, new to craft and Forum

Hello to You all,
After having long procrastinated I am now registered here with the intent to learn the craft of engraving; the history, the technique, the theory and the hands-on skills. Though I have a great appreciation of the work and art forum, and the talents of those who produce such works, I am otherwise a complete novice.

I presently live in the Benelux area of Europe.

Thank you for allowing and accepting me ( hopefully) in to Your Forum.

Bryan

Bryan,

You are fortunate to live in an area with a very rich engraving tradition. The Leon Mignon school in Liege is one of the best and there are independent artists like Roland Baptiste who give private lessons.

Also click on the link under my signature to learn the tools, styles, and terminology of hand engraving.

Bonne chance,

Roger
