Hello from Tennessee
Hello,
My name is Jim Koper. First thing I want to say is that the work I've seen on this forum is incredible. I am a toolmaker and have had my own shop for a few years. My interest in guns and love of metalworking has led me to try engraving. I have been trying to teach myself from James Meek's book and stuff I find on the web. My biggest stumbling block right now is drawing, (scrolls are kicking my butt ). The videos with the airgraver are awesome, I want one real bad . I just hope I can develop half the skill of those I've seen on here. Jim |

Re: Hello from Tennessee
Welcome Jim :seeya: Glad the videos are helpful. I notice you are in Tennessee. Scott Pilkington is in Monteagle, TN. Is that far from you?
Scott teaches engraving and also has a business of high end pellet guns. Check out his website: http://www.pilkguns.com/ Steve

Re: Hello from Tennessee
Hi Jim,
If scrolls are kicking your butt maybe Ron Smith's book has a good aproach for you. It really show's you how to start and finish scrolls very good from the very beginning till the way more complex ones. Daniel |
