Default Fisher Hagn "Best engraved Rifle" at FEGA

I am grateful for the support I recieved on this one in Reno from the Guild members. Here are a few pics of what I did to accomplish the work.
I am traveling, so please be patient as I may not have time to answer all questions in depth.

I spent a month on drawings, on and off. This is one I did about a week into it:

Good day Barry,
Again I want to say "Stunning Work" congratulations with the award.
Any specific reason for the numbering on the leaves?

Have a safe and joyful trip.

Cheers

Barry, it was a well deserved honor indeed.
I really like the engraving on the quarter-rib. Very creative.

Hello from the Astor Hotel in Shanghai, and thanks for the kind words. As to the numbers, the tips of 4's go to the left and 5's go to the right in this case, just a little note system I use to keep myself straight in the moment when doing layout.
Here is the same drawing after it has had a border and center scene drawn in:

Absolutely Stellar Work Barry!

Sorry I was not there to see it and vote for it, but I was slaving away in cold, snowy Germany. Enjoy Shanghai, it is one of my favorite cities.

Beautiful design and execution. It seems perfect for that rifle. I like the sculpted scrolls, the sheep and the background lighting effect.

Thanks Guys, here is the drawing for the Sheep side, then the acetone transfer, then I carved the leaves, and protected them with etching ground:

ANd I gotta say, the internet connection sucks in Shanghai, hehe.
