That is beautiful! I just started engraving on a spyderco police model myself and am surprised at how easy it cut. I hope mine comes out half as nice as this one!

Thanks for the advice.Iam sure that I will learn a great deal from the fine folk's here. Chapi Thanks for the comment's and yes the police model did cut very easy.I looked at your picture album and am sure your knife will come out great.I really like the freedom eagle design. I am working on a spyderco byrd now with scoll and a couple of animals. Thank's again Dennis |

I am a bench jeweler by trade. After a few years of trying to teach myself to engrave scroll, I took a begining engraving from Sam Alfano then went back and took a class on layout and design from Lee Griffiths.Also got Ron Smiths Book on scrolls.I would highly recomend you take a class,I am NOT saying that you should take these classes but to look at all of the options available to you .It will help you progress much faster then trying to do it by yourself.
