Hello, my name is Don Hansen and I'm new to the world of engraving and new to the forum. So far it has been quite an exciting journey!

I was lucky to find Tim Herman in Olathe, Kansas who offers engraving classes. Tim is only 10 miles away which makes things much easier than having to go out of town for an extended time. The best part though has been Tim. He is a grafic designer as well as knife maker and engraver. I've been blown away by his abilities. He got me so fired up I ordered a classic air graver from Steve after the first class. It will be a little while before I post a picture of my engraving, but with Tim's help and the wonderful tools Steve has made available I know it's just a matter of practice.

I've very much enjoyed using this forum to see all the wonderful things others have done and to be able to find the answer to so many questions right at my finger tips. Thanks to all of you! All the best, Don.
