New Member- "Mezzotint" from Delaware
Hi, all- I have been doing etchings printed from copper plates for about 25 years or so. Engraving is a technique I want to use there, and also engraving knives or guns. Had the great fortune to have met Ken Hurst back in Kitty Hawk, NC 25 or so years ago. Never will forget seeing his incredible work and the time we spent talking. I think it is time for me to try engraving. The place to begin learning is here. I know nothing, so the task is very challenging.
Dont seem to have engravers in Delaware. I am near Rehoboth. Look forward to learning. My very best- John |

Mezzotint,
You spoke of meeting Ken Hurst in the past ... I too have also talked with him on numerous occasions ... he is a great resource and a true Southern Gentleman. You might consider contacting him as he is offering private lessons in his studio in Robertsonville, NC ... I think he is only a few hours car ride from you. He is also on this web site. Regards, Arch |
