Default Ron Jr. Mermaid Scrimshaw

Hi All, Have not posted a scrimshaw for a while so how about this one, my first ever mermaid done on a small whale tooth. Hope you enjoy.

Your work here is as great as ever Thanks for sharing. I wanted to comment specifically on your use of fin placement and design. On this piece you have created a new, to me at least, use of fins. Just about all merpeople I have seen illustrated in any medium have either a single or split tail and that is all. Some of the early mermaids were quit erotic and sexual with the split tail design but lacked other fins. This is unique, original and terrific. Well done Fred

Thanks Guys and thanks Fred glad you like the fins. I pretty much threw the realm of known possible anatomy out the window and went for pure aesthetics with those fins, is always a bit risky.
