Default Big scrolls?!

Well, this is what has been stealing time from me learning how to engrave, but at least I'm inspired! Did a rough scroll pattern on the sheath.

Damasteel Nylund blade, masur birch handle with tin and vulcan spacers. I do not know how to translate what we call the leather. In Swedish it's "rårandsläder" which translates to "raw stripe leather". Basically, it's real hard, tap the sheath and it'll make a clocking sound. And when one put the knife into the sheath it snaps clearly.

Made it for my fathers 60th birthday. Hope you enjoy, all comments are welcome!

Thanks alot for the kind words kfil and Fred!

The style is.. Swedish, I think, or at least the style commenly used in Sweden, probably not very traditional though. A lapp knife usually use horn in the handle and lower part of the sheath and also use a different kind of leather if I remember correctly. Most sapmi art use alot of antler and engrave them beautifully.

So I guess it could be called a Scandinavian knife .
