Who engraved this LeBlanc?
I'm a huge fan of engraved custom knives and recently purchased this LeBlanc interframe on ebay. Sadly, the seller (the original owner who purchased the knife off John's table at a Guild show in the mid 90's) didn't know the engraver of the piece.
After scouring the net for pics, this is the closest I can find. A Busfield engraved by Ron Nott. Of note, the two areas of concentric scroll on the front bolsters seem to match both knives...but I have no idea if this is a common technique or attributable to a handful of engravers, or Ron specifically. http://www.rehobothcustomknives.com/KJBUS005.htm Any help would be greatly appreciated. Re: Who engraved this LeBlanc?
I've known John for a very long time and have engraved a lot of folders and straight knives for him. Looking at the photos I can say that I'm almost 95% sure it's one of B. Bates jobs._JR
