Newbie in MD
Hello,
I am interested in learning engraving. I plan on getting a Palm Control in a couple of months but while I am saving up the last little bit I am trying to get my feet wet by playing around with practice plates with hammer and chisel. I tried the Crocker sharpening system and then gave up and got some graver blanks and templates from Steve Lindsay. That made a huge difference. The gravers cut now. I can see the improvement in each plate and look forward to getting good at this some day. I will be taking a course with JJ Roberts next weekend to try and boost the learning curve. John Carpenter |
